Bourbon Police Officer Receives Recognition by Town Council

The Bourbon Town Council members recognized Bourbon police officer Taylor Sahlhoff Tuesday night for his efforts responding to an emergency call. 

Town Council President Ward Byers presented Officer Sahlhoff with a certificate. 

Byers stated, “On March 7, 2021, Officer Taylor Sahlhoff of the Bourbon Police Department responded to a report of an unresponsive female.  Officer Sahlhoff immediately started CPR and continued that CPR until the female victim regained consciousness.  As a valued member of the Bourbon Police Department, I want to take this opportunity to thank you.  Thank you for going above and beyond in responding to that call, taking initiative and saving a life.  Your strong work ethic and your commitment to excellence goes above and beyond the call of duty and it’s exactly what we ask of our police officers here in Bourbon.”

Bourbon Town Councilmen Les McFarland and Terry Clemens also extended their gratitude along with Clerk-Treasurer Kim Berger and Bourbon Police Chief Bill Martin.
