Culver Lake Fest begins today (Friday, July 2) and continues through Sunday, July 4.
Today’s events feature the Miss Maxinkuckee Pageant at 5:30 p.m. with the crowning at 7 p.m. at the Damore Amphitheater.
Saturday features the half-mile sparkler run for children ages 3-10 at 7:40 a.m. and the Waves of Freedom 5K run and walk at 8 p.m., the parade at 10 a.m., family contests at noon, sidewalk drawing contest at noon, the sand castle building contest at 1 p.m., firemen’s waterball contest at the Culver-Union Township Fire Department 1:30 p.m., the turtle/frog race at 2 p.m. a watermelon eating contest at 2:40 p.m., a cornhole tournament at 4 p.m., MAX 98.3 FM’s Tony Ross at 8 p.m. and the fireworks display begins at 10 p.m.
Sunday’s events include Namaste on the Beach at 6 a.m., a community church service at 8:30 a.m., the car show at 9 a.m. and car show awards at 3 p.m.
