A ribbon cutting ceremony to welcome in The Paddocks workforce housing development will be held Saturday, July 24 at 4 p.m. ET at the site on Cavalier Drive off of West Jefferson Street in Culver.
Indiana Lieutenant Governor Suzanne Crouch will be there to introduce the project that was one of Culver’s signature pieces in Culver’s Stellar Communities Designation plan.
Developer Kevin Berger and the Culver Chamber of Commerce invite residents to the property prior to the ribbon cutting ceremony from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. ET for vendor displays, music and refreshments.
The Paddocks features seven buildings. Three buildings have eight townhomes each, plus three buildings with eight apartments each along with a community building. Rent is income-based.
The goals for this project included adding new residents to Culver, place more students at Culver Community Schools and increase Culver’s workforce. The goals are being reached with a portion of occupancy already achieved.
