A Plymouth man was arrested Monday afternoon after reportedly leading officers on a pursuit.
An Indiana State Police trooper attempted to stop a motorcycle driver for speeding around 4:30 p.m. ET near the area of State Road 17 and State Road 110 in Culver, but the driver refused to stop, according to a report from the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department. Officers from the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department, Culver Police Department, Argos Police Department, and Bourbon Police Department assisted the Indiana State Police in the pursuit as it traveled through several areas in the county.
Police say the pursuit ended after about 30 minutes when the motorcycle went off the roadway in the 16,000 block of Gumwood Road in Marshall County. The suspect, identified as 43-year-old Travis Troyer of Plymouth, was taken to the hospital for a chemical test. Officers reportedly found Troyer to be possession of methamphetamine.
Troyer was arrested and taken to the Marshall County Jail on preliminary charges of possession of methamphetamine, operating while intoxicated and reckless driving.
Suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
