The number of new positive COVID-19 cases in the state and in the area continues to increase.
Nine more people in Starke County have tested positive with COVID-19, along with seven more people in Marshall County and two more people in Pulaski County. They are among 1,461 new cases reported statewide in Friday’s report from the Indiana Department of Health.
Another six people have died of COVID-19 in the state.
There are 40 less patients in hospitals in Friday’s report than in the previous day’s report.
