Downtown Plymouth Business to Make Roof Repairs Thanks to City Rebate

A Downtown Plymouth business will be upgrading its building, thanks to some funding help from the city. The city council last week approved Gary Treat’s application for a Commercial Revitalization Rebate Program Grant to repair a leaky roof.

The low quote was for just over $3,300, putting the city’s 20-percent rebate to $662. Treat explained that the project will fix the higher, south half of the roof. The north half was done in a previous project.

In other business, council members accepted a total of $2,400 in donations from local businesses for upcoming events. That included $2,000 for the Mayor’s Month of Music and $200 each for the Latino Festival and the Downtown Tractor Show.
