Culvert Repair on U.S. 30 to Begin Tuesday

The Indiana Department of Transportation has hired a contractor to do emergency repairs on a culvert on U.S. 30 just east of State Road 331 in Marshall County.   The westbound lanes in that area are currently closed to traffic.

INDOT went through an emergency contract procedure and signed the emergency award and notice to proceed with Woodruff.

This work will include a full pipe repair across the entire roadway.  It will start in the westbound lanes on U.S. 30 and then transition to the eastbound lanes once the first phase is done.  INDOT crews are working on traffic plans for this phase of work and updated plans will be provided once those details are complete.  Currently, the official detour follows State Road 19, State Road 10 and State Road 331.

The culvert repairs will begin Tuesday, July 6 with an anticipated opening date at the end of the month.
