There were two new cases of COVID-19 reported in Marshall County which is included in the 150 additional new cases in the state, according to Monday’s report from the Indiana Department of Health. Starke County and Pulaski County did not have any new cases.
Another four people in the state have died of COVID-19 which increases the total number of deaths to 13,379.
There are 445 people with COVID-19 symptoms currently hospitalized around the state which is a decrease of 91 from last Monday.
The number of COVID-19 variants continues to grow with 4,728 total cases in Monday’s report.
Residents age 12 and older are eligible to receive the COVID-19 vaccine. To find the nearest vaccination clinic, visit www.ourshot.in.gov or call 211. Nearly 40 percent of the population in Pulaski County is fully vaccinated, along with 39.6 percent of Marshall County’s population and 32 percent of Starke County’s population.
In the state’s weekly school dashboard update, there were 16 new student cases reported in the state from April 6 to June 18, one new teacher positive case reported June 15 and one new staff case reported June 13.
