Two Additional COVID-19 Deaths Reported in Starke County

Two more people in Starke County have died of COVID-19, according to Tuesday’s report from the Indiana Department of Health.  They were among the 10 COVID-19 deaths that occurred in the state in recent days. 

Another 302 people in the state have been diagnosed with COVID-19 including two people in Marshall County.  There were no new positive cases in Starke County or in Pulaski County.

The COVID-19 vaccine is available to Hoosiers age 12 and older.  Residents younger than the age of 18 are only eligible for the Pfizer vaccine.  The Pfizer, Moderna and Johnson & Johnson vaccines are available to everyone 18 and older.  To find the closest vaccination clinic, visit www.ourshot.in.gov or call 211.  Appointments are preferred, but walk-ins are accepted at most sites. 

More than 2.6 million people in the state are fully vaccinated, including 38 percent of the population in Marshall County, 38 percent of the population in Pulaski County and 30 percent of the population in Starke County.
