The Plymouth School Board members met in special session Tuesday night to approve contracted services for an interim superintendent.
Diane Woodworth will be stepping in as interim superintendent at the Plymouth Community School Corporation after Superintendent Andy Hartley’s departure from the position at the end of June.
Woodworth is one of 40 retired administrators with Administrator Assistance. Members of that organization step in when schools need help. She was one of four administrators who showed interest in filling in at the school corporation until a replacement for Hartley is found.
Woodworth is the former superintendent of Goshen Community School Corporation.
Following the approval of the contract, Board President Melissa Christiansen presented Andy Hartley with a gift from the board members. Hartley again thanked the school board, the corporation, and the community for their support during his time at Plymouth schools.
