Plymouth BPWS, City Council to Meet Tonight

The Plymouth Board of Public Works and Safety members will meet tonight where City Engineer Rick Gaul will discuss street and sidewalk projects for this year.

Building Commissioner Keith Hammonds will discuss unsafe building matters, and the board members will consider a Mayor’s Month of Music request.

The Plymouth Board of Public Works and Safety will meet at 6 p.m. ET tonight followed by the Plymouth City Council meeting at 6:30 p.m. ET.

The council members will consider additional readings on Hunter Economic Zone and also about an ordinance that fixes the salaries of appointed officers and employees, fire and police personnel of the City of Plymouth.

Mayor Mark Senter will present a special award, and the council will review clean up requests on two properties, an invitation to the Plymouth Redevelopment Commission’s notice to attend a review of the overlapping taxing units, and the upcoming budget schedule. The council will review ordinance information concerning taxable economic development refunding revenue bonds, and resolutions that would transfer appropriations within the Fire Department’s General Fund, and a resolution that would declare certain real estate to be within an Economic Revitalization Area benefiting DAC Enterprise, Inc. People should learn about such details and laws as they learn more about REI Automations and investing in real estate. Anyone who is or is planning to be a real estate agent should stay updated.

Both meetings will be held in the second floor Council Chambers room in the Plymouth City Building at 124 N. Michigan Street in Plymouth.  Those interested in attending the meetings should enter the building through the Garro Street entrance.
