One new case of COVID-19 was reported in Starke County, according to Monday’s report from the Indiana Department of Health. There were no new cases in Marshall County or in Pulaski County in that update, but it noted 275 new cases in the state.
Two more COVID-19 deaths occurred in the state which increases the total number of deaths to 13,269.
There were 601 people hospitalized with COVID-19 symptoms on Monday which is 100 people less than a week ago.
Hoosiers age 12 and older can receive a COVID-19 vaccine. Visit www.ourshot.in.gov to find the closest vaccination site or to make an appointment to receive a vaccine. Appointments are preferred, but walk-ins are accepted at most sites.
Mobile vaccination clinics are planned this week at the Pentecostal Temple Church of God and Christ in Michigan City Wednesday to Saturday this week from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. CT, and at the Center Lake Pavilion in Warsaw Thursday and Friday this week from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. ET.
Schools are still reporting COVID-19 cases to the state. The updated school dashboard Monday showed 54 new student cases of COVID-19 in the state, where less than five of those were reported at John Glenn High School. There were five new teacher cases and five new staff cases statewide.
