The Argos School Board members welcomed a new member Monday night.
The new member is replacing Jennifer Porter as she recently resigned from her seat on the board. The school board members took action to approve that resignation Monday night. The resignation is effective June 30, 2021. Porter is moving out of the district.
Following the board’s action, they unanimously approved their appointment of Karra Duff to fill Porter’s unexpired at-large position on the school board from July 1, 2021 to December 31, 2022.
Duff was one of two candidates who submitted letters of interest for the appointment.
Superintendent Ned Speicher presented Porter with a plaque to thank her for her two years of service on the Argos School Board.
