Seven people in Marshall County were among 183 people in the state newly diagnosed with COVID-19, according to Tuesday’s update from the Indiana Department of Health. There were no new cases in Starke County or in Pulaski County.
Another eight people have died of COVID-19 pushing the total number of COVID-19 deaths to 13,420.
There have been 4,932 variant cases reported in Indiana. The Alpha variant, or the B.1.1.7 variant, is the most common variant found in the state.
Health officials say just over 1,574 additional tests were reported to the state Monday. The total number of tests reported to the state, including repeat tests for unique individuals, is over 10.8 million.

A total of 5.6 million doses of the vaccine have been administered to residents in Indiana while over 2.8 million residents are fully vaccinated.
