The Marshall County Parks and Recreation Board members will not tolerate littering or illegal dumping at Memorial Forest or at any of the county’s park systems.
Marshall County Parks and Recreation Board Secretary Deb VanDeMark stated last week that there was a complaint of illegal dumping at Memorial Forest and the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department is investigating the incident.
Littering and illegal dumping have been issues at Memorial Forest in the past and the park board members will be looking at ways to possibly attaching a fine to those found to be at fault or other consequences to stop it from occurring.
They encourage any illegal activities to be reported to police.
