The restrooms at Urey Middle School in Walkerton will be getting a facelift, thanks to recent action by the John Glenn School Board.
John Glenn Community School Corporation Superintendent Christopher Winchell said that the renovations will be updated at a cost of about $145,000.
“Our bathrooms at Urey are kind of circa 1970s, give or take, and we’re just hoping to bring our Urey bathrooms into circa 2020,” commented Winchell. “We had been gathering some bids on those things to update fixtures and things like that. D.A. Dodd was awarded that bid.”
Winchell mentioned that the school board had been budgeting for the project for some time in the Operations Fund and not through the bond proceeds.
