Four New COVID-19 Cases Reported Locally

There were three new COVID-19 cases reported in Marshall County and one in Starke County in Thursday’s report from the Indiana Department of Health.  There were no new cases in Pulaski County. 

Another 230 residents in the state have tested positive with COVID-19 and another four people in the state have died of COVID-19. 

The number of people hospitalized with COVID-19 symptoms continues to trend downward.  There were 391 patients in hospitals around the state Wednesday, according to the report.  It’s the first time the number has been this low when looking at these particular statistics on the dashboard. 

There are now 4,813 COVID-19 variant cases found in Indiana.  The Alpha variant is the most common variant found with 3,762 cases.

Marshall County and Pulaski County have now reached a 40 percent COVID-19 vaccination rate while Starke County is up to 32 percent.
