Four more people in the tri-county area tested positive with COVID-19, according to Friday’s report from the Indiana Department of Health.
Two people in Marshall County were recently diagnosed with COVID-19, along with one person in Starke County and one person in Pulaski County. They are among 218 new cases reported in the state Friday.
There were two additional COVID-19 deaths which raises the total number of deaths to 13,346.
The number of people hospitalized with COVID-19 continues to decrease with Friday’s count at 457. That’s the lowest number of hospitalizations since the statistics began on April 8, 2020 when there were 1,749 people in hospitals around the state on that date.
Residents age 12 and older are eligible to receive a COVID-19 vaccine. A list of vaccination clinics is available at www.ourshot.in.gov or by calling 211.
Nearly 47 percent of the state’s population is fully vaccinated.
