There will be an added clarification in the proposed Memorandum of Understanding between the Bremen Town Council and the Bremen Park Board.
Bremen Town Attorney Anthony Wagner told the Bremen Town Council members Monday afternoon that a paragraph will be added that would state that the Bremen Police Department will be made available to the park system and the Bremen Park Board would adopt the Police Department as its police service or public safety service at the park. This would clarify the enforcement abilities of the Police Department at the park systems in Bremen.
Wagner said the clarification will be added for the town council’s review, as well as the review of the Bremen Park Board and Bremen Park Superintendent Brian Main.
The rest of the Memorandum of Understanding spells out day-to-day management and that the park board will adopt the town handbook as the employee handbook.
Once the changes are made and all involved have a chance to review the amendments, the Memorandum of Understanding will be on the table for adoption.
