3.8-Magnitude Earthquake Strikes Indiana

An earthquake rattled the local area Thursday afternoon. The U.S. Geological Survey reports a 3.8 magnitude earthquake struck in Parke County in West-Central Indiana at 3:18 p.m. EDT. It was reportedly felt in much of Indiana and in neighboring states.

The Indiana Department of Homeland Security notes that aftershocks can’t be ruled out following an earthquake and reminds Hoosiers to “drop, cover, and hold on” if they feel additional shaking.
