A contractor is being sought to maintain the downtown planters and the improved area at the corner of Plymouth and Bowen Streets in Bremen this summer.
Bremen Director of Operations Trend Weldy explained to the Bremen Town Council that the individual would water and pull weeds from the new downtown planters and maintain the landscaping by the new LED electronic sign at the corner of Plymouth and Bowen Streets.
The contractor would work for about six months out of the year.
Town Attorney Anthony Wagner suggested taking bids or quotes for the work and the town council could award the contractor in a future meeting. Weldy said he would advertise for the work to be done and indicated there are funds available for the job.
The Bremen Town Council members approved a motion to move forward with seeking bids or quotes.
