Another Starke County resident has died of COVID-19, according to Thursday’s report from the Indiana Department of Health. That increases the total number of COVID-19 deaths in Starke County to 55.
Eleven new cases of COVID-19 were reported in the tri-county area. Marshall County had six additional cases, Starke County had four and Pulaski County had one. They were among 929 cases reported in the state in Thursday’s report.
According to the Regenstrief Institute, there are over 15,000 active cases of COVID-19 in the state, which makes up two percent of the total number of positive cases since February of 2020.
A total of 2,660 variant cases of the COVID-19 have been identified in Indiana.

Over 4.9 million doses of the vaccine have been administered in Indiana.
