Plymouth City Council Reviews Garbage and Mowing Fees Ordinance Amendment

The Plymouth City Council members passed an ordinance amendment on first reading Monday night that concerns garbage and mowing fees.

It states that if the Street Superintendent has to remove any debris causing a nuisance at a property the fee for removal will increase to $50 in this amendment.  Any other hours spent by the superintendent or employees will be $100 per job.

The owner will need to pay for the cost of disposing petroleum products.  A flat landfill fee of $80 would be assessed for removals, and fees would be charged for tire removal.  Large quantities of waste will be assessed labor and dump fees, plus the use of equipment.  Charges would be in the form of a lien against the property if payment is not received within 15 days of a written notice.

The Plymouth City Council members will consider additional readings of the amendment in future meetings.
