Marshall County Reaches 6,000 Overall COVID-19 Cases

Marshall County now has 6,000 overall COVID-19 cases after adding 27 additional positive tests to the count in Thursday’s report from the Indiana Department of Health.

Starke County had six new cases in that report.  There were no new positive cases in Pulaski County.  That pushes Starke County’s overall total case number to 2,144.  Pulaski County stayed at 1,160. 

The state as a whole had 1,261 additional cases of COVID-19 which drives the overall state total to 726,600. 

Another six people in the state have died of COVID-19. 

Nearly 1,000 people are hospitalized with COVID-19 in facilities around the state.

Nearly one billion tests and repeat tests have been reported to the Indiana Department of Health since February 26, 2020. 

A COVID-19 vaccine is available to residents 16 and older.  An appointment can be made by visiting https://ourshot.in.gov or calling 211.  The website also lists locations where appointments are not necessary.
