The key FOB project at the John Glenn School Corporation is complete.
The John Glenn School Board approved the project in October of last year when Superintendent Christopher Winchell explained to the board that the project would provide tighter security for students and staff. The board accepted the lowest quote for the project at nearly $118,000.
Throughout the process, a few doors were found to be troublesome to be upgraded and Winchell previously explained that some doors may need to be replaced in order for the system to work properly in some sections of the High School and Elementary School. Those issues have been corrected and the key fob system is operable in all corporation buildings.
A few doors still may need to be addressed as they are showing years of wear and tear so that issue may be brought before the school board in a future meeting for possible replacement.
