Marshall County and Starke County are in the yellow status and Pulaski County is in the blue status in the state’s updated weekly County Metrics Map that measures community spread of COVID-19.
The yellow status means a moderate spread of COVID-19 while the blue status means a low community spread of COVID-19.
Wednesday’s report from the Indiana Department of Health showed an additional 819 Hoosiers who have been diagnosed with COVID-19. There were seven new cases of COVID-19 in Marshall County, three in Starke County and two in Pulaski County.
Another 12 people in the state have died of COVID-19 which raises the total number of deaths to 13,101.
The COVID-19 vaccine is available to residents 12 and older. The Pfizer vaccine is only administered to those younger than 18. To make an appointment, visit www.ourshot.in.gov or call 211. Locations where appointments are not necessary can be found on that website.
About 2.3 million people in the state are fully vaccinated.
The state’s long-term facility weekly update showed 27 new resident cases from October 15 to May 12, and 13 new resident deaths from December 3 to May 13. No new cases or deaths were reported locally.
