A Bremen man was injured in an accident on U.S. 6 just east of Bittersweet Drive in Bremen Friday morning.
Marshall County Sheriff’s Department deputies responded to the accident just after 10 a.m. ET where they say a flagman stopped westbound traffic for 1,000 ft., but a westbound semi was reportedly traveling at a high rate of speed approaching stopped traffic. Police say the flagman was able to get a stopped car out of the way and the semi skidded to a stop avoiding the car. However, the driver of a 2010 Chevrolet pickup following the semi failed to stop and struck the semi trailer, according to the report.
The driver, Carl L. Moser of Bremen, was taken to the hospital for treatment.
