Another resident in Starke County has died of COVID-19, according to Tuesday’s report from the Indiana Department of Health.
A total of 54 people have died of COVID-19 in Starke County since 2020. In Tuesday’s report, the state saw 15 more COVID-19 deaths for a new overall total of 13,018.
Another 687 people in the state have been diagnosed with COVID-19, including one more person in Starke County, six more people in Marshall County and one more person in Pulaski County.
The number of people hospitalized with COVID-19 is on a downward trend. Tuesday’s total was 880 compared to 1,019 a week ago.
The COVID-19 vaccine is available to residents age 16 and older. Appointments can be made online at https://ourshot.in.gov or by calling 211. The website also lists locations where an appointment is not necessary.
Over 4.6 million doses of the vaccine have been administered in Indiana. Over 2.1 million people in the state are fully vaccinated including 12,447 people in Marshall County, 5,030 people in Starke County and 3,693 people in Pulaski County.
