Another Starke County Resident Dies of COVID-19

Another person from Starke County has died of COVID-19, according to Friday’s report from the Indiana Department of Health.  Fifty-three people in Starke County have died of the novel coronavirus since April of 2020. 

There were 17 additional deaths in the state in Friday’s report which elevates the overall total to 12,983. 

Nearly 1,190 more people in the state have been diagnosed with COVID-19, including 10 more people in Starke County, six in Marshall County and four in Pulaski County. 

Residents who are 16 and older are eligible to receive a COVID-19 vaccine.  To make an appointment, visit https://ourshot.in.gov or call 211.  The website also lists available clinics that do not require an appointment. 

Nearly 4.5 million doses of the vaccine have been administered in Indiana.  Over two million people are fully vaccinated including 12,111 people in Marshall County, 4,956 in Starke County and 3,671 people in Pulaski County.
