Another Pulaski County resident recently died of COVID-19, according to Tuesday’s report from the Indiana Department of Health. That raises the total number of COVID-19 deaths in Pulaski County to 46.
There were no new cases of COVID-19 reported in Pulaski County in Tuesday’s report, but Marshall County had eight new cases and Starke County had three new cases. They were among 495 new cases reported statewide.
A total of 2,477 variant cases of COVID-19 have been reported to the state which is an increase of nearly 500 from Monday’s report.
The COVID-19 vaccine is available to people age 12 and older. Appointments can be made by visiting www.ourshot.in.gov or by calling 211. There are several vaccination sites that do not require appointments. That information can be found on the state’s website.
A mobile vaccination clinic will be open Tuesday, May 18 and Wednesday, May 19 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. CT at The Center of LaCrosse. The facility is located at 100 S. Washington Street.
A total of 4.8 million doses of the COVID-19 vaccine have been administered in Indiana with over 2.3 million Hoosiers fully vaccinated. Over 33 percent of Marshall County residents are fully vaccinated, while 27 percent of people in Starke County are fully vaccinated and nearly 36 percent of Pulaski County residents are fully vaccinated.
