The Triton Community School Board members unanimously approved the hire of a new Jr/Sr High School Assistant Principal and Athletic Director this week.
Superintendent Jeremy Riffle told MAX 98.3 FM News that Rick Yarbrough was selected as Mason McIntyre plans to leave that position by the end of the school year. McIntyre has served in the position for the past 14 years and plans to move to an Executive Director position of the Second Mile Mission in Warsaw.
Yarbrough was born and raised in southeast Michigan and has most recently worked as the Assistant Principal at Blake High School which is in the seventh largest school district in the nation.
He was named Hillsborough County’s High School Physical Educator of the Year in 2017 in Florida. That same year he graduated from Capella University with his Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership.
Riffle noted that Yarbrough is looking forward to working at the school in Bourbon and being closer to family members who reside in Michigan.
