The State Road 10 sidewalk construction project in Culver is anticipated to begin Monday, April 26.
Sidewalks will be constructed on the south side of State Road 10 beginning at Maple Ridge, east along State Road 10, and then south on the west side of Lakeshore Drive. The sidewalk will connect to the existing sidewalk system at the First National Bank of Monterey.
The project is part of the town’s Stellar Communities Designation program plans.
Lane and/or road closures will occur during the process, but access to businesses will not be disrupted. The project should continue through mid-July.
Additionally, crews will work on sidewalk, trail, and street improvements on West Jefferson Street following the State Road 10 project. NIPSCO workers are currently installing gas lines prior to this major part of the project.
