Restaurant Revitalization Fund to Start Taking Applications Monday

Bars and restaurants can apply for a new source of federal COVID-19 relief starting Monday. The Restaurant Revitalization Fund lets eligible businesses apply for $1,000 to $5 million per location, to cover expenses from February 15, 2020 to March 11, 2023.

Many types of businesses that serve food or drinks may apply, including caterers, food trucks, coffee shops, and bakeries. The U.S. Small Business Administration will start taking applications Monday at noon EDT, but interested businesses can start the registration process now. More information can be found at sba.gov/restaurants.

For businesses who’d like some help with the process, the Indiana Small Business Development Center is offering free webinars and virtual office hours. State officials encourage businesses to apply for funding as soon as possible, due to high demand.
