Nine New COVID-19 Cases Reported Locally

There were nine new cases of COVID-19 reported in the tri-county area in Monday’s report from the Indiana Department of Health. 

Four new cases were reported in Starke County, three new cases in Marshall County and two in Pulaski County. 

There were three additional COVID-19 deaths in the state which pushes that total to 12,818. 

In addition to local Health Department vaccination sites, FEMA mobile clinics will be open Tuesday through Saturday this week from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. ET at the Tolson Center in Elkhart County and the Center Lake Pavilion in Warsaw.  The Indiana Department of Health will host local mobile clinics Tuesday through Thursday this week from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. ET at the Logansport Welcome Center and First Church of God in Columbia City.  To make an appointment, visit https://ourshot.in.gov or call 211.

Over 3.7 million doses of the vaccine have been administered to residents in Indiana. 

The state’s updated COVID-19 dashboard for schools showed 729 new student cases in the state from January 11 to April 16.  There were 61 new teacher cases from January 15 to April 16 and there were 61 new staff cases from March 31 to April 16.

Locally, there were less than five new student cases of COVID-19 reported at Riverside Intermediate School and Washington Discovery Academy in Plymouth.  There were less than five new teacher cases of COVID-19 at Culver Community Elementary School and at Riverside Intermediate School.
