Plymouth Mayor Mark Senter announced the appointment of a new fire chief and EMS director Wednesday afternoon. Steve Holm was recently appointed to the position after serving as the assistant fire chief since 2016.
Holm has been with the Plymouth Fire Department since 2000. He started as a volunteer and then joined the staff full time in 2009.
Holm has a degree in Healthcare Administration from Indiana University and lives in Plymouth with his wife, Jami, and their five children.
Holm replaces Rod Miller in the position. Miller will continue to be active with the Plymouth Fire Department, according to City Attorney Sean Surrisi.
