The National Weather Service issued a statement Tuesday that warns residents about elevated fire danger Tuesday afternoon and evening.
Wind gusts up to 30 to 35 mph, along with relative low humidity, drying grass and other fuels increase the risk of spreading grass, brush and ditch fires. Burning is discouraged Tuesday, except by experienced fire personnel.
