Thirteen more people in Marshall County and five more people in Starke County have been diagnosed with COVID-19, according to Saturday’s report from the Indiana Department of Health. There were no new cases of COVID-19 in Pulaski County.
They are among 1,127 additional people in the state who have tested positive with COVID-19. Another 13 people have died of COVID-19 which increases the total number of deaths to 12,861.
There is a slight increase in COVID-19 hospitalizations with 853 reported Saturday. That is up seven patients from Friday’s report.
Hoosiers age 16 and older are now eligible to receive a COVID-19 vaccine. To schedule a vaccine appointment, visit https://ourshot.in.gov or call 211.
The single-dose Johnson & Johnson vaccine, which is available to individuals age 18 and older, is being offered at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway today through April 29. Families with children age 16 and older are encouraged to visit the speedway April 30 between 9 a.m. and 7 p.m. ET to receive the first dose of the two-dose Pfizer vaccine. Second dose appointments will be scheduled at the time of the first dose.
Nearly 4 million doses of the COVID-19 vaccine have been administered in Indiana. There are 10,629 fully vaccinated people in Marshall County, 4,285 fully vaccinated people in Starke County and 3,075 fully vaccinated people in Pulaski County.
