There were eight new COVID-19 cases listed locally in the tri-county area, according to Monday’s report from the Indiana Department of Health.
Marshall County had three new cases, Starke County had four and Pulaski County had one. They are among 762 additional cases in the state.
One more person in the state has died of COVID-19, pushing the total number of deaths to 12,668.
There has been a slight increase in the number of COVID-19 patients in hospitals around the state. There are 704 COVID-19 patients in hospitals in Monday’s report, compared to 621 patients on Monday, March 29.

As of Monday, a total of 3,015,788 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine have been administered in Indiana.
The Indiana Department of Health updated the school COVID-19 dashboard Monday where 387 new student cases were listed in the state from October 26 to April 2, 54 new teacher cases from March 10 to April 1, and 58 new staff COVID-19 cases from March 16 to April 2.
Locally, there were less than five new student COVID-19 cases at Plymouth High School, Urey Middle School and North Liberty Elementary School. There were less than five new teacher cases at John Glenn High School and Plymouth High School, and less than five new staff cases at Bremen Middle/Elementary School.
