Four more people in Marshall County and four more people in Starke County have tested positive with COVID-19, according to Sunday’s report from the Indiana Department of Health. For the second day in a row, Pulaski County did not have any new COVID-19 cases to report.
Another 832 people in the state have been diagnosed with COVID-19, while four more people in the state have died of the coronavirus.
The 20-29 age group has the highest overall percentage of positive COVID-19 tests in the state at 18.4 percent, followed by the 30-39 age group at 15.4 percent, and the 0-19 and 40-49 age groups at 15.1 percent. The 50-59 age group makes up 14.6 percent of the total number of COVID-19 cases and the 60-69 age group is 11 percent. All other age groups make up just over 10 percent of the total number of cases.
The Johnson & Johnson single dose vaccine is once again available to those seeking a COVID-19 vaccine. It will be available to individuals age 18 and older at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway through April 29. Families with children age 16 and older are encouraged to visit the speedway April 30 to receive the first dose of the two-dose Pfizer vaccine. Second dose appointments will be scheduled at the time of the first dose.
Appointments also are still available at the mass vaccination site at the former Roosevelt High School in Gary, which is currently offering the Pfizer vaccine from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. CT.
