The Bourbon Town Council members adopted a vehicle impound ordinance during their meeting last week.
A person needing to get a car out of the impound lot would need to provide photo identification, proof of insurance, and pay a $20 administration fee. The Clerk’s Office would collect the fees as the employees in that office are bonded.
The ordinance was approved on first reading during the March council meeting. It was recently published as it featured a fee. Since it was properly advertised, the Bourbon Town Council members voted unanimously to suspend the rules and pass the ordinance on the second and third readings.
