Road construction on U.S. 31 south of Argos is causing some traffic issues for Argos Community School Corporation buses and student drivers.
Superintendent Ned Speicher told MAX 98.3 FM news that bus drivers that cross U.S. 31 are having a difficult time transporting students to school in a safe manner on time as construction crews work on a road resurfacing project between State Road 110 and Southway 31/Old U.S. 31. Resurfacing is expected to last through mid-September of this year. One lane on U.S. 31 is closed in each direction during this project.
In order to ensure that bus drivers get the students to school safely, the corporation will be patient with those students utilizing U.S. 31 to get to school and who may be tardy.
