Twenty New COVID-19 Cases Reported Locally

There were 20 new COVID-19 cases reported in the tri-county area, according to Sunday’s report from the Indiana Department of Health.

Marshall County had 11 additional people test positive with the novel coronavirus while eight people tested positive in Starke County, and one person in Pulaski County.  They were among the 955 additional people in the state who were newly diagnosed with the virus in Sunday’s report.

Twelve more people in the state have died of COVID-19 which increases the overall total number of deaths to 12,617. 

Indiana residents who are 40 and older, along with healthcare workers, long-term care residents, first responders, and educators and school support staff through grade 12 are now eligible to receive a COVID-19 vaccine.  To schedule an appointment, visit https://ourshot.in.gov or call 211. 

As of Sunday, a total of 2,685,575 doses have been administered in Indiana. This includes 1,602,873 first doses and 1,082,702 individuals who are fully vaccinated. There are 6,507 people who are fully vaccinated in Marshall County, 2,705 people in Starke County and 2,194 people in Pulaski County.
