Marshall County Community Corrections officials recently hosted training for probation, community corrections and law enforcement officials throughout the region, facilitated by Lion Shield, LLC.

The company discussed “The Will to Survive” which covers courses concerning critical incidents encountered by law enforcement and provides insight on how to increase safety, confidence, and decision making skills in the field.

Marshall County Community Corrections Director Ward Byers stated that “The Will to Survive” allowed officers to examine past incidents in order to respond effectively and professionally on the job. Byers added that it was a great opportunity for Marshall County Community Corrections to provide the in-depth training to those in the Marshall County region.
