The number of new cases of COVID-19 in the area remains low, according to Monday’s report from the Indiana Department of Health.
The report noted 730 additional people in the state with a COVID-19 diagnosis which brings the overall total to 684,733. There were three more residents in Marshall County who tested positive with COVID-19, along with two more residents from Starke County and two more residents from Pulaski County.
Another five people in the state have died from COVID-19 which pushes the total number of COVID-19 deaths to 12,622.
Indiana residents who are 30 and older, along with healthcare workers, long-term care residents, first responders, and educators and school support staff through grade 12 are now eligible to receive a COVID-19 vaccine. To schedule an appointment, visit https://ourshot.in.gov or call 211.
As of Monday, a total of nearly 2.7 million doses of the vaccine have been administered in Indiana, which includes over 1.6 million first doses and nearly 1.1 million second doses.
The state’s school coronavirus dashboard shows 341 additional student COVID-19 cases from November 9 to March 26, 50 new teacher cases from October 28 to March 26, and 59 new staff cases from March 3 to March 26.
Bremen High School reported less than five new COVID-19 student cases last week.
