The Plymouth School Board members approved a recommended bid Tuesday night after having read the report submitted on the roofing projects and roof repairs brighton on school corporation buildings this year, along with several summer maintenance projects.
Superintendent Andy Hartley said a roofing bid totaling $1,333,844 from CentiMark Corporation was approved. The total cost included a voluntary alternate bid of over $177,000 that would increase the 15-year warranty to a 30-year warranty.
Hartley stated, “That will include a new roof or coatings with updated warranties for Washington Discovery Academy, Menominee Elementary School, and several roofs at Plymouth High School.”
Hartley commented that several maintenance projects will be underway yet this year.
Hartley continued, “Those projects include some asphalt replacement at Jefferson [Elementary School] and Webster [Elementary School] as well as mechanical things and gutter repair at Riverside [Intermediate School], and some carpet replacements here and there throughout the district as well.”
Also included in the list of summer projects is an LED lighting upgrade at Plymouth High School and a lighting upgrade in the high school auditorium.
