Republican State Representative Jack Jordan recently honored Lindsey Weldon from Plymouth in House Resolution 12 for being named an Indianapolis NBA Rising Star All-Star.
The resolution states that rising stars are high school seniors who demonstrate leadership in their schools and communities. As a result, they receive a $2,100 scholarship. Weldon was one of 21 in the state selected for the scholarship.
Weldon has been an active member of the Boys and Girls Clubs of Marshall County since the age of 10, and is now an officer in the Boys and Girls Club of America Keystone Club. The club provides leadership development opportunities for youth in focus areas of academic success, career preparation and public service. Weldon also participates in Future Teachers of America.
