Number of New Local COVID-19 Cases Remains Low

The Indiana Department of Health announced Friday that 973 additional people in the state have been diagnosed with COVID-19 with 11 of those people in Marshall County, one person in Starke County and two people in Pulaski County. 

The total number of COVID-19 cases in Marshall County is now 5,493.  It is 1,903 in Starke County and 1,085 in Pulaski County. 

Another 28 people in the state have died of COVID-19 bringing the total number of COVID-19 deaths to 12,409.

Over 1.2 million Hoosiers have received the first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine and 792,217 people are fully vaccinated. 

The Johnson and Johnson vaccine distribution that requires a single-dose administration totals 22,953 people in the state.   Over 5,000 people in Marshall County are fully vaccinated, while just over 1,900 people in Starke County are fully vaccinated and over 1,600 people in Pulaski County are fully vaccinated with the Pfizer, Moderna or Johnson and Johnson vaccines.
