Marshall County remains in the blue status on the state’s weekly County Metrics Map in terms of the community spread of COVID-19 while Starke County and Pulaski County are in the yellow status this week.
Marshall County may follow the blue advisory level guidelines while Starke County and Pulaski County will need to follow more restricted yellow advisory level guidelines.
The blue status indicates a low community spread while the yellow status indicates a moderate level of community spread.
Tipton County is the only county in the state not in the yellow or blue status this week. It elevated to the orange status with the highest positivity rate in the state.
An additional 863 people in the state have tested positive with COVID-19, with five more people in Marshall County and four more people in Pulaski County diagnosed with the virus. There were no new cases in Starke County in Wednesday’s report from the Indiana Department of Health.
Another 16 people in the state have died of COVID-19 which increases the total number of deaths to 12,350. It increases by 425 if probable deaths are included.

An indoor vaccination clinic is planned at Calumet New Tech High School in Gary. The clinic is open March 20 from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. CT and March 21 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. CT. Individuals must show proof of Indiana residency and meet current eligibility requirements upon arrival.
As of Wednesday, 1,178,265 first doses of the COVID-19 vaccine have been administered to people in the state, while 744,712 Indiana residents are fully vaccinated.
On the state’s long-term care dashboard, 77 new resident cases were reported from April 4, 2020 to March 3, 2021, and 52 new resident deaths from April 10, 2020 to March 6, 2021. No new cases or deaths were reported at local facilities.
