Indiana Department of Health Updates County Metrics Map

Starke County and Marshall County are in the blue status on the state’s County Metrics Map this week which indicates a low community spread of COVID-19 while Pulaski County remains in the yellow status. 

Twenty-five counties in the state are in the yellow status this week, Blackford County is in orange, and the rest of the state is in the blue status. 

The Indiana Department of Health announced Wednesday that 976 additional people in the state have tested positive with COVID-19, including 11 more people in Marshall County and nine people in Starke County.  There were no new cases reported in Pulaski County Wednesday. 

Another 15 people in the state have died of COVID-19 which pushes the total number of deaths to 12,568.

Hoosiers age 40 and older, along with healthcare workers, long-term care residents, first responders, and educators and school support staff through grade 12 are now eligible to receive a COVID-19 vaccine.  To schedule an appointment, visit https://ourshot.in.gov or call 211

Over 992,000 people are fully vaccinated in the state, including nearly 6,000 Marshall County residents, over 2,500 Starke County residents and over 2,000 residents in Pulaski County.
