A Tuesday morning fire in Culver reportedly resulted in damage to a garage.
Culver-Union Township firefighters were notified of a fire at a structure on East Lake Shore Drive, according to the department’s Facebook post. They say there was a fire in the attached garage of a commercial building. It was quickly extinguished with damage only in the garage area.
No injuries were reported.
Fire Chief Terry Wakefield said the cause of the fire has not been determined at this time.
The Culver-Union Township Fire Department utilized the new aerial fire truck at the scene, along with three other response vehicles. They were assisted at the scene by the Monterey Fire and Rescue Team, Culver-Union Township EMS, and Culver Police Department.
